Impacts of H.R. 1 on Hungry Ohioans

The federal budget reconciliation bill (H.R. 1), also referred to as the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBBA), requires sweeping changes to safety net programs, including $186 billion in SNAP cuts over the next 10 years. These changes impose more complex eligibility rules, new state costs, and major funding reductions that threaten hundreds of thousands of Ohio families.
