"North Canton Medical Foundation's Blood Pressure Clinic is a quick and convenient way for anyone to keep track of his or her most important vital signs. This free public service works in combination with routine medical examinations to give any individual an opportunity to actively participate in their own medical treatment."
Nearly one-third of adults have high blood pressure, and over seventy percent of these people do not have it under control. While high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack, and other serious problems, many people do not visit their doctor frequently enough to properly regulate their blood pressure because they simply cannot afford the office calls.
To assist these individuals, North Canton Medical Foundation offers a weekly Blood Pressure Clinic every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in our Health Education Building. The clinic is free and open to the community. Healthcare professionals check blood pressure and discuss safe levels. Each person is given a card with that week's recorded reading as well as spaces for future blood pressure checks. This log can then be taken to the individual's primary care physician on the next visit.
